MealsGuru is an intuitive meal-planning and grocery budgeting app designed to help users save money, shop smarter, and eat well. With rising food costs impacting households across the U.S., MealsGuru empowers users to set personalized budgets, compare grocery prices, and streamline their meal planning. By integrating cost-conscious decision-making with a seamless user experience, the app transforms the way people approach grocery shopping and meal prep.


Challenge

With grocery prices fluctuating and food costs rising, many individuals and families struggle to stay within budget while maintaining a healthy and convenient meal plan. Existing solutions often require manual effort, multiple apps, or lack price comparison features. MealsGuru set out to bridge this gap by creating an intuitive, all-in-one platform that helps users budget, plan meals, and find the best grocery deals—all in one place.

Ways of working

As part of the founding team, I led product design, development, and strategy, focusing on go-to-market (GTM) execution and driving the overall product vision. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to align product goals with business growth, ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience.



Process

I worked closely with the CEO, marketing, and developers to define the MVP scope, prioritizing features that aligned both business and user needs. A key challenge was ensuring accurate grocery pricing and comparisons, which required deep collaboration with developers to determine the best data sources and implementation strategy. Through user research, iterative design, and rebranding, I refined the product experience to resonate with our target audience while ensuring a seamless and scalable foundation for growth.

I led the creation of a clear product roadmap, collaborating with the CEO, marketing, and developers to define the MVP scope and prioritize key features based on user research and business needs.

Design & Prototyping

I focused on mapping the user journey, designing intuitive wireframes and prototypes to streamline meal planning, budgeting, and grocery comparison.

Development & Implementation

I worked closely with developers to integrate grocery pricing and comparison tools, aligning design execution with technical feasibility and go-to-market strategy for a smooth launch.
